MISSION: To offer hope, compassion, service and advocacy to the low-income residents in Barberton and Norton, through the collaboration of partnering churches, community groups, businesses, and individuals.

ALL SERVICES ARE FREE OF CHARGE

Food

To receive a 3-day emergency supply of food, once per month with a maximum of 12 times per year, you must be able to:

  • Income qualify

  • Provide a photo ID

  • Provide proof of residency

Transitional Housing*

BACM provides temporary transitional housing depending on funds available.

  • Must be homeless

  • Must have a place to live after temporary housing has expired

AT&T Lifeline*

To receive basic telephone service at a reduced rate you must:

  • Income qualify

Backpack Program

During the school year we provide 3 meals and a snack to 300 students at Barberton Head Start at the end of every month

Ohio Benefit Bank*

A counselor assisted program that combines access to taxes as well as federal and state public benefits like:

  • Food stamps

  • Healthy Start/Healthy Families (Medicaid)

  • Child Care Subsidy

  • Medicare Savings Programs

  • Voter Registration

  • HEAP/PIPP

  • Senior Employment

  • Cash Assistance

  • Tax Preparation

  • Prescription Assistance

This program is now available. Call for an appointment during office hours.


Seniors

To receive all services including food deliveries to your home from the food pantry you must:

  • Income qualify

  • Be over age 60 or permanently disabled

Budget Counseling*

You will:

  • Receive help with prioritizing expenses.

  • Receive help with payment schedules

Other Services

  • Referrals for clothing, utilities, housing and additional food pantries

  • Garden Project-opportunity to work with a group to grow and sell your own vegetables

  • Farmer's Market vouchers to use for free produce

  •    Cooking classes
