Budget Counseling

Managing money is hard enough when people have sufficient income for most of life’s essentials.  Many of our clients have insufficient income, or expenses that are well beyond their income.   While some are going to face an ongoing struggle to make ends meet and require outside assistance for some period, others may simply need to carefully examine their spending habits and develop a more organized approach to money management.

BACM is willing to assist anyone wishing to learn to develop better ways to survive on a limited budget.  Our service is free, but requires an appointment that can be made at any time.

 Budget Counseling involves:

An examination of current income and expenses

A prioritization of essential and non-essential expenses.

Identification of services and options that can reduce expenses.

A reality check on expectations possible on a limited budget.

A monthly payment schedule that (if followed) assures essentials are paid.

          An examination of income-enhancing options.

Follow-up coaching for those willing to implement a plan.

All budget counseling clients will be required to bring in bills, receipts and pay stubs for a one-month period.  They will meet one-on-one in a confidential setting with a skilled budget planner.  Their own honesty, discipline and initiative will be  important factors in a successful outcome from this experience.

BACM is not a PRC-authorized budget counseling agency.
