It was a success! Yes, our 11th annual Swiss Steak Dinner and Silent Auction was instrumental in helping us raise funds to continue the important work of BACM. Many people enjoyed the good food and lots of people were fighting over the wonderful baskets on display. If you were unable to attend there will be another chance next year, so keep us in mind. I would like to thank everyone who donated items, attended the dinner, bought baskets or volunteered to help during the many hours of preparation. We appreciate all of the support the community continues to give us and we will use these funds wisely to help feed hungry people, shelter the homeless and give hope to those in despair. If you are looking for ways to help during the upcoming holiday season please keep us in mind. We will gladly accept your financial donations, food donations, and plastic or paper grocery bags. We have also started collecting ACME tapes again, so bring those in and we can earn 5%. Drop by sometime if you are in the neighborhood and we will be glad to show you around and explain what we do. If you know someone who could use our help please have them contact us at 330-745-3693.

Dear Supporter,
As a supporter of BACM, I’m sure you realize just how critical our work is, particularly for those whose lives have been affected by the country’s economic condition. Whether or not you’ve ever experienced food insecurity or homelessness, you’re sure to understand how the assistance BACM offers in our community enriches the lives of so many people. Our work is made possible by the generous and significant support if individuals, churches, civic groups, and businesses. Without your assistance, we wouldn’t be able to do the following, all for free: · Provide between 800 and 1000 people per month with a 3-day supply of food · Provide temporary shelter for families in crisis · Provide 400 families with $5 vouchers for the Farmer’s Market · Provide cooking classes so that families can expand cooking knowledge and be able to use the food they obtain from the pantry · Provide a garden to learn how to grow vegetables as well as sell them at a market · Provide 3 meals and a snack to 336 students at Head Start at the end of each month during school Won’t you make a commitment to support our annual appeal? Your generosity will make a positive impact in our community by allowing BACM to continue its important work. Would you please return your annual campaign donation or pledge form by December 31st for budgeting purposes?
Thank you in advance for your commitment to support the efforts of BACM.
Sincerely,
Joanne S. Kramer Executive Director |
